Evergreen, nostalgic, classic, what else can I say, golden style movie theatre? You have to go and experience it yourself. Small yet spacious. It is more like a film festival kind of feeling. They play the 'less blockbusters', indies, off grid, etc. Plus most of the time they retain the original language which is how I found out about this cinema. I am not a fan of dubbed movies. Looking forward to watch good movies there again and again 🤗🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cute little old-fashioned cinema. Certainly not the latest hi-fi system, but it's charming and has a fine, well-chosen program. Returning a supernumerary ticket was no problem for the friendly staff. (Although it was 5 minutes before the movie started)
I am very thankful to the owner of the cinema for organizing a special show for Ukrainians on 09.06.2022! We watched a fantastic animated film “Paddington” which was sounded by our current President Volodymyr Zelenskyi! It was such a great support for me personally!!!! The voice I heard reminded me that I do want to go home, but It’s not safe there yet((((( but I’m very thankful for all German people for hospitality, kindness and help you give to us!!!!
Fun to be there! 💺🎞 …
Love movies
A lovely old style cinema with a great arthouse film selection. The sound and the picture are very good, and the atmosphere is great thanks to the more select and film-speak educated visitors! In quiet scenes there is absolute silence and in this way you can really enjoy films, which is unfortunately no longer possible in conventional cinemas.
However, the seats in cinema hall 2 could be replaced, you sink into the seat quite a bit and there are urgently needed cup holders missing. Even in fairly empty halls you have to put the drink and popcorn on the floor, which quickly leads to one or two of them tipping over during the performance.
The popcorn tastes normal/average, the drinks are a bit small. Unfortunately you can still only pay in cash.
A beautiful old but well-maintained cinema. A very, very good alternative to the cinema chains with seats that can move backwards. There is no way to put your drink in a holder. Since there wasn't much going on, this wasn't a problem. The popcorn was good and not too sweet. But I've eaten better than that.
You should visit more often. Very pleasant atmosphere with nice people who like to prepare good coffee, latte macchiato and popcorn. Good films in a great atmosphere! Lovely again!
I remember this cinema from my childhood and even back then I thought it was great. Today, 40 years later, it has lost none of its classic character.
Just great. Pure cinema nostalgia.

Was in this cinema for the first time today, a wonderful cinema with a unique charm of bygone times, combined with delicious popcorn, a nice selection of drinks and a hand-picked film program! What more could you want if you love good arthouse cinema and it doesn't have to be a mammoth cinema! I was in room 2, it wasn't big and the screen wasn't huge either. But it all makes up for it with a good movie! Thank you for a lovely evening in your Lichtfilmhaus! Gladly again!
